Bowen

Posted in Australia on Apr 27, 2003

It’s been quite a week and I must say, I’m not ready to go back to school on Monday at all. We had a really good time in Bowen. The party was a lot of fun and I met more of Lana’s cousins and their mates. I also met Will, Gordon and Tricia’s oldest kid, for the first time. He’s 23 and lives in Brisbane. But anyways, most of Bowen is pretty much a hole except the beaches. We spend most of Saturday at the beach and it was sunny and the weather was perfect. It was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, as well, and I took more than half a roll of film of just the scenery plus a lot of digi pics. When I was standing on the beach looking out at the sand, mountains, palm trees, and incrediably blue water, it looked fake–like a picture you would see in a magazine or at a post card. All I can say is wow. I’ll show you all pictures but I’m positive that they won’t do it justice.
Well sorry this was so short but I gotta get some sleep because I haven’t had much of it this weekend. I want everyone who went to prom to email me and tell me all about it because I’m dying to hear how it went! Have a great day everyone. :)

What’s the point of this travelogue, you ask? Especially when most (if not all) of these trips were taken in the past?… Well, here’s the thing. All of my photos and travel journals are spread all over the internet. I figured it would be best to have everything in one safe, organized place. This site is mostly for me. But obviously since I am putting it on the world wide web, it is for you too. Look around. Read about some of my experience. Laugh at me. Do whatever you please. Just enjoy.
